Love Wins
It seems like forever since I posted but I just did not have anything to say. I am sure some of you know those feelings. However, here we go. We have been taking our students through a series called The Gospel According to Napoleon Dynamite. Yesterday, I talked about the topic Love Wins. I showed a clip from the movie where Napoleon is abandoned by his date at the dance but he is accepted by his friends Pedro and Deb. I used this as the back drop encourage our students to see those around them who are the outcast and the ones no one cares about. Jesus points out to us in Matthew 25 that the truly righteous ones are people who love the unlovable. They minister to the "least of these." I am reminded that Christ even though beaten, ridiculed, spat on, betrayed, and crucified never allowed love not to win. I think of what I endure in life as being so miniscule compared to his suffering. Yet, He teaches me that what really matters going through life is to love others. So as you think about this week of Easter be reminded of this Love Wins!!!
