Unto the Least of These

"Because what you do in life echoes in eternity." A great quote from one of my favorite movies, The Gladiator. I don't know about you but lately I have come to the place where I want this statement to ring true in my life. I believe God has called me to a life that makes a difference. I learned that lesson more than I could know yesterday. Yesterday I took one of the children in our church to McDondald's to get ice cream and let him play on the playground. This particular child is 6 years old. But, he has a form of autism that makes him very fascinated with numbers and letters. This 6 year old kid is very smart. As I watched him play on the McDonald's playground, I heard God whisper to me, "If you do it unto the least of these, you have done it unto me." The world may see this little boy as one of the least of these but our Daddy sees him as His child. God taught me something huge about just caring. Loving people is what walking with God is all about. Loving people is what really "echoes in eternity."
